Corporate Layoffs Today my company let several of my co workers go. I actually received a retention package with a very generous severance. Basically if i stay until the end of Q1 09 I will be handsomely rewarded. I am actually conflicted about this. A part of me would love to do something different I've had this job for about 10 years. On the other hand I made good money and it has been relatively easy. On the way to work last week a thought popped into my head, " Do I hate my job?" I didn't know the answer. The other part of me, the lizard brain, fears change and seeks stability.
I'm sure things will be OK and I'll be happier than ever once I reach my new stability plateau. Thank you Who Moved my Cheese?

Amsterdancetastic Weekend Wanna go with me to see Armin Van Buuren on Saturday May 24th (Memorial Day/Bear Pride/IML Chicago) Weekend? He's the 2nd most popular DJ in the world and coming to Visions Nightclub on Bear Pride weekend. I MUCH prefer Armin over Tiesto. I hate to dis' BP but I do have my priorities.

Yous got tagged I was tagged by bigmosaywhat
* Each person starts with eight random facts, traits, or quirks about themselves. * LJer's that are tagged get to write on their own blog about their eight things and post these rules. * At the end of your blog, you get to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
#1- I always unconsciously eat chips/fries/etc in the following order: pieces, small, to large
#2- I have twice had one-night-stand type casual encounters with men I met on public transit. In both cases they repeatedly flashed me their rock hardness in the open via pulling up their shorts leg. In the second instance I was traveling with friends and they didn't notice.
#3- I was rapidly becoming friends with someone I randomly met but then he vanished after 2 months. Turns out he had been convicted of 1st degree murder of a homeless man from 7 years ago. The first trial ended in a hung jury and he was out on $500k bond when we met.
#4- I've not had sex with anyone else since Bear Pride 06.
#5- I have a condition called Pigmmentary Dispersion Syndrome so my eye color is getting lighter as I age.
#6- I was a 100% complete and total virgin until (coincidentally) my 29th birthday and that guy gave me mono. *Debbie Downer sound effect*
#7- My paternal grandmother almost died in the Tri-State Tornado of 1925. She was in 3rd grade and at school at recess as the tornado pass over/through the school. It was so big they didn't know what was happening until it was too late. She literally hung onto a fence and blew in the wind like a windsock until it passed.
#8- For as long as I can remember I've loved/been fascinated by globes and maps. As a kid I used to pass time on road trips by reading the Rand McNally Road atlas over and over.

One step forward, two steps back, step to the left, twirl, fart... My throat hurts alot. Either it's the cold I've been fighting off since Monday or that mango-strawberry smoothie with broken glass boost I had yesterday. Stupid cold.
I'm taking another sick day today. I enjoy time off but I also feel guilty cause things are rough at work at the mo and my co workers will miss me dearly.
On the plus side I finally got my radiators replaced in my living and dining room. Now I can walk around in shorts again all year round. Yay!
So how YOU doin?

Joe: No...
Me: OK, that's fine but you DO have to pay for Latin.

I shoot a magic missile into the darkness I Am A: Lawful Good Human Monk (6th Level)
Ability Scores:
Strength-12
Dexterity-12
Constitution-12
Intelligence-14
Wisdom-15
Charisma-15
Alignment: Lawful Good A lawful good character acts as a good person is expected or required to act. He combines a commitment to oppose evil with the discipline to fight relentlessly. He tells the truth, keeps his word, helps those in need, and speaks out against injustice. A lawful good character hates to see the guilty go unpunished. Lawful good is the best alignment you can be because it combines honor and compassion. However, lawful good can be a dangerous alignment because it restricts freedom and criminalizes self-interest.
Race: Humans are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like.
Class: Monks are versatile warriors skilled at fighting without weapons or armor. Good-aligned monks serve as protectors of the people, while evil monks make ideal spies and assassins. Though they don't cast spells, monks channel a subtle energy, called ki. This energy allows them to perform amazing feats, such as healing themselves, catching arrows in flight, and dodging blows with lightning speed. Their mundane and ki-based abilities grow with experience, granting them more power over themselves and their environment. Monks suffer unique penalties to their abilities if they wear armor, as doing so violates their rigid oath. A monk wearing armor loses their Wisdom and level based armor class bonuses, their movement speed, and their additional unarmed attacks per round.
